Drama Korea The Moon That Embraces The Sun, berkisahkah cinta rahasia di antara Lee Hwon, seorang raja fiksi dari Dinasti Joseon, dan Wol, seorang shaman perempuan. Wol dilahirkan sebagai Heo Yeon Woo, puteri dari sebuah keluarga bangsawan, yang berhasil memenangkan cinta dari sang Pangeran Mahkota, Hwon.

Namun musuh-musuh Yeon Woo, iri karena posisi keluarga Yeon Woo di Istana, mengadakan persengkongkolan untuk melawan Yeon Woo, dan merampas tempatnya sebagai puteri mahkota bahkan hampir saja berhasil mengambil nyawanya. The Moon That Embraces The Sun Menceritakan kisah percintaan rahasia antara seorang raja Dinasti Joseon dengan seorang gadis yang berprofesi dukun atau cenayang. Diangkat dari novel yang berjudul sama oleh Jung Eun-gwol yang juga membuat novel Sungkyukwan Scandal (versi drama televisinya pernah ditayangkan di Indosiar).

Kisahnya dimulai dengan persekongkolan rahasia di istana oleh Ibu Suri Jung Hui (Kim Young-ae) yang menanggap putra tirinya, Pangeran Uiseong akan membahayakan tahta putranya, Raja Sungjo sehingga memerintahkan Lord Yoon (Kim Eung-soo) dan orang-orangnya untuk membunuh pangeran tersebut. Namun seorang dukun istana bernama Ari menyaksikan pembunuhan Uiseong dan dikejar oleh para pembunuh itu.

Ari berhasil lolos lantaran diselamatkan oleh Lady Shin (Yang Mi-kyung) yang sedang hamil. Ari mendapatkan bayangan masa depan putri Lady Shin yang akan lahir itu akan menjadi orang penting namun juga akan dibayangi ancaman bahaya sehingga ingin melindungi putri tersebut. Sayangnya Ari tertangkap kembali dan akan dieksekusi oleh pejabat istana pendukung Ibu Suri. Sebelum dieksekusi, Ari meminta sahabatnya yang juga dukun, Jang Nok-young (Jun Mi-sun) agar melindungi putri tersebut.

13 tahun kemudian, Heo Yeon-woo, putri Lady Shin tersebut yang kini menjadi seorang gadis remaja tanpa sengaja bertemu seorang pemuda remaja sebayanya di istana yang tidak lain adalah Pangeran Lee Hwon, putra mahkota dinasti Joseon. Mereka saling jatuh cinta dan akhirnya Yeon-woo terpilih menjadi putri mahkota walau Ibu Suri tidak suka karena lebih menginginkan Yoon Bok-young, putri Lord Yoon.

Namun hanya beberapa hari sebelum hari pernikahan resmi mereka, Yeon-woo secara misterius sakit keras dan lalu meninggal. Yang tidak diketahui bahwa Yeon-woo sebenarnya tidak meninggal namun diselamatkan oleh Nok-young agar tidak menjadi sasaran pembunuhan oleh Ibu Suri dan Lord Yoon. Namun Yeon-woo mengalami amnesia sehingga tidak ingat siapa dirinya. Demi keselamatan Yeon-woo, Nok-young berbohong kepada gadis tersebut kalau Yeon-woo itu adalah Wol yang sedang belajar menjadi seorang dukun.

Delapan tahun kemudian, Wol (Han Ga-in) yang kini berusia 21 tahun telah menjadi seorang dukun. Sedangkan Lee Hwon (Kim Soo-hyun) telah menjadi raja menggantikan ayahnya dan menikah dengan Yoon Bok-young (Kim Min-seo). Namun Raja Lee Hwon tidak pernah tidur bersama dengan Bok-young karena tidak bisa melupakan Yeon-woo dan juga tahu kalau Bok-young terlibat dalam komplotan Ibu Suri Jung Hui dan Lord Yoon yang menyebabkan kematian Yeon-woo. Ternyata nasib mempertemukan Lee Hwon dengan Wol alias Yeon-woo. Seperti dulu, mereka juga saling jatuh cinta dan bahkan menjalin percintaan rahasia.

Apa yang akan terjadi pada Wol jika Ibu Suri dan komplotannya akhirnya tahu jika Wol sebenarnya adalah Yeon-woo? Akankah Yeon-woo dan Lee Hwon bersatu setelah sekian lama terpisahkan?

Sinopsis

Lama tak terdengar Kim Jae Won oppa akhirnya maen drama juga nich chingu  . Ga tanggung-tanggung, kali ini dramanya bener-bener memicu perasaan .. ceile .. hehehe  .. Oppa maen di drama yang melo banget .. judulnya yaitu Can You Hear My Heart. Drama Korea Can You Hear My Heart ini menceritakan masalah keluarga yang complicated banget. Dan juga menceritakan kisah cinta Cha Dong Joo (seorang pria tuli yang kaya) dengan Bong Woo Ri (seorang wanita miskin yang tinggal dgn nenek dan ayah tirinya yang keterbelakangan mental). Mengharukan ya  ?

Awalnya Cha Dong Joo adalah pria yang mempunyai pendengaran yang normal, bahkan ia pandai dalam memainkan piano. Cha Dong Joo merupakan cucu tunggal dari seorang kakek pemilik perusahaan WK Group. Dong Joo sangat bahagia tinggal dengan ibu, ayah dan kakeknya. Dilain tempat, disebuah desa, ada sebuah keluarga kecil terdiri dari seorang nenek bernama Hwang Soon Geum¸ Nenek ini memiliki seorang anak lelaki yang keterbelakangan mental bernama Bong Young Kyu. Walaupun Young Kyu keterbelakangan mental, ia rajin bekerja. Young Kyu mempunyai seorang putra yang tampan dan pintar yang masih sekolah di SMU bernama Bong Ma Roo. Ma Roo yang masih remaja mempunyai emosi yang sangat labil, ia kadang tidak bisa menerima keadaan keluarganya yg skr, ayah yg keterbelakangan mental dan tidak punya ibu. Ma Roo tdk pernah mengenal ibunya, kata neneknya : ibunya telah meninggal  .

Ayah Ma Roo yang lugu jatuh cinta kepada wanita tuna rungu yang bekerja di barber shop. Wanita ini mempunya putri yang berumur 9 tahun namun tidak sekolah karena keterbatasan biaya, putri cantik yang ramah ini awalnya tdk mempunya nama. Sejak ibunya menikah dengan ayah Ma Roo, gadis kecil ini diberi nama Bong Woo Ri. Akhirnya Woo Ri dan Ma Roo pun jadi kakak adik. Ma Roo awalnya tidak suka dengan keluarga barunya, tetapi karena kemanjaan dan kebaikan Woo Ri, akhirnya Ma Roo mulai membuka hatinya pelan-pelan untuk ibu dan sodari tirinya.

Suatu hari WK Group berencana ingin memberikan beasiswa untuk siswa-siswi berprestasi di desa Woo Ri dan Ma Roo tinggal. Cha Dong Ju, anak lelaki tampan dan ramah yang masih berumur 13 tahun ini ikut dengan ayah (Choi Jin Chul) dan ibunya (Tae Yeon Sook) ke desa itu. Bong Ma Roo berhasil mendapatkan beasiswa dan tampak akrab dengan ibu Dong Joo. Hal ini tidak disukai oleh ayah Dong Joo karena Ma Roo orang miskin yang tidak boleh dekat dgn keluarganya yang kaya raya. Beda dengan ayahnya, Dong Ju sangat baik dan ramah. Dia menolong Woo Ri sangat dikejar satpam sekolah, dari sinilah persahabatan Woo Ri an Dong Ju mulai dekat. Dong Ju mengajar cara bermain piano ke Woo Ri  .

Namun suatu ketika, semuanya berubah .. Kebahagian Ma Roo, Woo Ri dan Dong Ju berubah menjadi kesedihan .. Banyak peristiwa terjadi berbarengan yang membuat hancur keluarga Dong Ju dan keluarga Ma Roo. Pabrik WK yang berada di desa tempat Ma Roo tinggal, tiba-tiba kebakaran. Ibu Woo Ri yang kerja di pabrik tersebut meninggal demi menyelamatkan jam tangan yang ingin diberikan ke Ma Roo. Belum lagi, demi menutup kesalahan ayah Dong Ju, ayah Dong Ju menuduh ayah Ma Roo yang menyebabkan kecelakan  . Selain itu, di rumah Dong Ju juga terjadi peristiwa yang na’as. Ketika Dong Ju ingin pulang ke rumahnya setelah main piano dengan Woo Ri, ia memanjat lewat jendela untuk masuk ke kamarnya. Tetapi ketika melewati jendela kakeknya, Dong Ju melihat ayah nya membunuh kakeknya dengan cara mencabut oksigen kakeknya  . Dong Ju terjatuh dari lantai atas karena syok. Kepalanya terbentur batu. Ibu Dong Ju sangat sedih ditambah lagi ia mendengar bahwa sekretarisnya (Kim Shin Ae ) mengatakan kepada suaminya, kalau ia mempunyai seorang putra hasil hubungannya dengan ayah Dong Ju. Ibu Dong Ju mulai yakin kalau suaminya tidak tulus menikahinya, malahan ia sudah terlanjur kasih sertifikat saham Dong Ju dan sahamnya ke suaminya  .

Karena ibu tiri Ma Roo meninggal dan ayah Ma Roo dipenjara, Ma Roo meminta tolong dengan memohon sambil berlutut kepada ibu Dong Ju untuk membantunya membebaskan ayahnya. Ma Roo hanya bisa berharap kepada ibu Dong Ju yang ia kenal ramah. Ibu Dong Ju menyadari kalau ternyata Ma Roo adalah putra dari Sin Ae dan Jin Chul suaminya. Shin Ae ternyata adalah sodara Young Kyu, dan Young Kyu ternyata bukan ayah kandung Ma Roo. Akhirnya ibu Dong Ju membawa Ma Roo ke Amerika untuk balas dendam ke suaminya dan Shin Ae. Ibu Dong Ju membebaskan ayah Ma Roo dengan syarat : Ma Roo harus putus hubungan dengan keluarga lamanya. Tanpa sepengetahuan suaminya, Ma Roo dibawa ke Amerika. Nama Ma Roo diganti dengan nama Jang Joon Ha, seakan-akan dia adalah putra dari dokter Jang (dokter pribadi Dong Ju). Dan akhirnya, Ma Roo, Dong Ju dan Ibu Dong Ju tinggal di Amerika selama pengobatan Dong Ju. Walaupun pengobatan Dong Ju sudah maksimal, sangat disayangkan Dong Ju selamanya tidak bisa mendengar  . Ibu Dong Ju sulit menerimanya dan hampir depresi, begitu juga Dong Ju. Dong Ju tidak mau bicara sama sekali. Ma Roo berusaha untuk memberikan mereka semangat. Sedangkan niat ibu Dong Ju adalah memanfaatkan Ma Roo agar menjadi bonekanya  .

16 Tahun kemudian. Kini Woo Ri, nenek dan ayahnya tinggal di rumah baru, menumpang dirumah Seung Chul bagian atas. Karena ayah Seung Chul adalah sahabat kecilnya ayah tiri Woo Ri. Woo Ri dan ayahnya berjuang keras mencari Ma Roo yang hilang, dari menempel brosur sampai iklan di tivi. Dan sampai suatu hari Woo Ri bertemu dengan lelaki yang gayanya mirip dengan Ma Roo : suka memakai headphone dan sering mengatakan “tai semut” .. Woo Ri berusaha mengejar lelaki tersebut dan ternyata lelaki itu adalah Dong Ju, sahabat kecilnya sekaligus putranya Jin Chul , pemilik perusahaan yang menyebakan ibunya meninggal.

Dong Ju menyembunyikan ke semua orang kalau dia tuli, itu juga atas saran dan usaha ibunya. Cara Dong Ju mengetahui apa yang orang bicarakan adalah dengan melihat gerak bibir lawan bicaranya. Makanya Dong Ju suka memakai headphone, pura-pura mendengarkan musik .. agar orang yang memanggilnya dari jarak jauh menganggap dia tidak bisa mendengar karena sdg mendengarkan musik. Hal ini dilakukan agar Dong Ju tidak diremehkan orang dalam memimpin perusahaan. Tekad sebenarnya adalah agar para dewan dan pemilik saham mempercayainya untuk memimpin WK Group dan mengusir ayah Jin Chul, yang tak lain adalah ayah tirinya. Jin Chul sebenarnya bukan ayah kandungnya, tetapi lelaki yang menikah dengan ibunya saat ibunya hamil. Ayah kandung Dong Ju sudah meninggal saat Dong Ju masih didalam perut ibunya.

Ma Roo menyadari kalau Woo Ri yang sudah besar adalah adik tirinya. Ia meminta Dong Ju jaga jarak dengan keluarga Ma Roo yang lama. Woo Ri sangat kesal karena sikap Dong Ju yang sombong mirip dengan ayahnya. Ditambah lagi ternyata kebun tempat ayahnya bekerja adalah milik keluarga WK, bahkan ayahnya dipecat tanpa alasan yang jelas. Belum lagi ada perusahaan kosmetik bawahan WK yang ingin membeli lukisan ayahnya . Woo Ri sangat geram kepada keluarga WK, Dong Ju segera meredakan amarah Woo Ri sebelum ayah tirinya mengetahui kalau Woo Ri adalah putri dari korban kebakaran 16 tahun yang lalu. Dong Ju dan Ma Roo mengaku kepada Woo Ri kalau Dong Ju hilang ingatan akibat kecelakaan 16 tahun lalu (padahal tidak hilang ingatan, tetapi sebenarnya tuli  )

Karena Dong Ju merasa bersalah, Dong Ju memberikan kembali kerjaan ayah Woo Ri, ditambah lagi harus mengurus ikan di rumah baru Dong Ju. Kebetulan rumah baru Dong Ju dekat rumah Woo Ri. Woo Ri harus mengirim susu ke rumah Dong Ju dan karyawan kebun setiap pagi harinya. Woo Ri suka penasaran dengan Dong Ju dengan mengintip dirumahnya, saat itulah Dong Ju selalu mengoda Woo Ri, wanita yang sempat dekat dengannya waktu kecil. Hubungan Dong Ju dan Woo Ri pun semakin dekat. Ma Roo juga selalu membantu menjaga Woo Ri karena dia tidak tega melihat Woo Ri yang selalu mencari kakaknya. Tetapi lama kelamaan Ma Roo merasa aneh dengan perasaannya terhadap Woo Ri, dia tidak suka ketika Dong Ju dan ibu Dong Ju mengatakan kalau ia kakaknya Woo Ri …. Hehehe .. Apakah Ma Roo oppa suka sama Woo Ri ya?  .. Satu lagi nich chingu, Seung Chul (sahabat Woo Ri) yang tinggal satu atap, mulai serius belajar memasak agar bisa dibanggakan Woo Ri ..  ..

Bagaimana kisah selanjutnya drama ini ? Siapakah nanti yang akan jadi pangeran Woo Ri ya ? Ma Roo Oppa kakak tercintanya ? Dong Ju teman kecilnya ? atau Seung Chul sahabatnya dari kecil ? Dan Apakah Dong Ju bersama ibunya berhasil mengalahkan ayah tirinya ? Dan bagaimana dengan sikap Ma Roo nantinya jika dia tahu kalau dipermainkan oleh ibu Dong Ju ? Dan juga bagaimana sikapnya juga ia mengetahui siapa orang tua sebenarnya? Dan Berhasilkah Dong Ju menyimpan kekurangan yang ia miliki selama-lamanya? Bagaimana jika Woo Ri dan ayah Dong Ju tau kalau Dong Ju tuli? Jawaban-nya semua mesti tonton dramanya chingu  ..

Drama Can You Hear My Heart bagi saya adalah drama yang sangat bagus namun sayang rating di Korea kurang tinggi .. klo dibandingkan Baker King  . Memang drama ini plotnya pelan, tetapi karena pemain-pemainnya cakep-cakep jadi tidak membosankan .. dan tidak terlalu bikin gregetan dan tidak bikin deg-degan .. karena ini drama melo, jadi banyak adegan sedihnya .. Tapi chingu jangan khawatir, drama ini happy ending kok .. walaupun endingnya agak sedih, tetapi semua masalah akhirnya bisa terselesaikan .. dan kisah cinta Woo Ri pun tidak mengecewakan .. So Chingu, Satu lagi nich drama korea yang mesti kalian tonton .. cocok buat tontonan keluarga  ..

Best Korean Drama of 2010 / 2011 / 2012 (Must Watch)

These are some of the Korean drama I've watched in the past few months, which I think best (as romantic as fairy tales yet pretty funny and hilarious at times) and definitely worth sharing with people who enjoy K-drama as much as I do. Review: Just finished watching the final episode of TMTETS,bitter sweet ending. Kim Soo Hyun was so cute and innocent when he acted silly and all. The beginning (first episode particularly) was a bit dull, but just bare with it so that you wouldn't miss out the back-story. Good news is, episode 2 and onwards were getting more and more interesting with great acting from that two kids who played young Hwon and young Yeon. I cried so hard watching episode 5!!! For those who are looking forward to see Jung Il Woo and Kim Soo Hyun, just hang in there until the 6th episode.

Review: To be honest, I was very disappointed by how the relationship between the leads unfolded throughout the series as i really want Kang So Ra to be with Jin Yoo Jin. But looking at the bright side, there were few of my most favorite scenes like when the Kirin students held some sort of welcoming party for the underage idols movinf into the hotels and the prt when they perrformed "B"on the stage , simply entertaining! I felt like I wanna see more of their hidden talents as the episodes grew, considering most of them are still new and fresh in the entertainment industry, except Jin Woon (2 AM) and Ji Yeon (T-ara).

Review: At last! I managed to wrap up all 20 episodes of "Fashion King" with my spare time *phew* I gotta admit that I was thrilled at the very beginning, as I was anticipated to see Yoo Ah In portraying more of his charisma and charm in this series, following his more prominent role in "Sungkyunkwan Scandal". I waited episode by episode, week by week, only to content myself with more and more disappointments. The storyline has grown to be so dragging, and I eventually lost my passion until the last four episodes, sparkles reignited and faded with a Hollywood-like ending.

Review: This is hilarious!!! I laughed so hard watching most of the episodes, especially episode 1 to 9. The story later preceded with sadness and anxiety which made me tear as hard as I laughed. Tae Yong and Park Ha, there was such a sweetly intriguing romance between two of them. Episode 19 touched me so deep that I couldn't help breaking down, drowning myself in a pool of tears... Eventually, all the mysteries unraveled with a heartfelt fairytale ending .

Review: I really liked the 70's retro style at the beginning of this drama, where every moment was captured so beautifully with the setting of fairy-tale like background and romantic tunes. It took me quite a while to get use to the roles of Jang Geun Suk and Yoona though, from the retro 70's to the modern 21st century and to fall in love with the cute couple all over again. Every love scene was simply so sweet and enjoyable until complications and sacrifice came across the father and son, mother and daughter... Vacillating situation and it remained uncertain until the last episodes, and ultimately, the lovely story concluded with a sweet and warming ending .

Review: Thank you, guys! For recommending this to me ;) I actually took a month off from K-drama, before I was able to open up my heart for another time-travel romance comedy like "Rooftop Prince" again. First, I was not emotionally ready or prepared. Second, both of them just share too much similarities. I struggled a little when checking out the first episode, but fortunately, the storyline did not fail to impress me or should I say it was abso-freaking-lutely addictive, BEST time-travel-love-story ever!!! I got myself completely drawn into "Queen In Hyun's Man" as soon as I started the second episode. Yoo In Na was cute and I really like her true to heart acting.

Review: Still watching... If you loved watching the Taiwanese version of "Hanazakarino Kimitachihe" aka "花样少男少女" or the Japanese version of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" aka "花ざかりの君たちへ", then I reckon you would never wanna miss out on this one, the Korean version named "To the Beautiful You"! I couldn't help but notice that, by pure chance, Cha Eun Kyul (Lee Hyun Woo) reminds me a lot of You're Beautiful's Jeremy (Lee Hong Ki). He's cute and funny, and I'm anxious to see how the love triangle plays out.

Review: It was like watching a bunch of teen idols "showing off" their talents, not up to Glee's, the American musical comedy-drama series standards but still very much entertaining. I admire IU's talents at this very young age of her. She caught my attention when she first picked up the guitar and sang with her angelic voice. Wooyoung and her made such a cute couple together. Also, for the first time, I had no clue of whom the lead actress gonna end up with until the very last episode.

Review: The best K-drama in 2011 I've ever watched so far with extraordinarily addictive and interesting storyline!!! I got hooked up as soon as I started the first episode. The story of the unconditional and irrevocable love between the characters was like a magnet that would gravitate a strong force causing you to spend all day or even nights chasing the episodes, one after another, and eventually came to a conclusion that the ending was not something you expected it to be .

Review: The visual effect and everything about his drama is so dreamy and impossibly beautiful, really loved it. In fact, Kim Hyun Joong did a better job playing his role in "Playful Kiss" than "Boys Over Flowers" this time, more expressions. How about a deeper and more emotionally driven character for him in the future? I'm very much looking forward to see that!

Review: This would be the second time seeing Jang Geun Suk playing the role as a band vocalist and guitar player in a drama, after "You're Beautiful" in 2009. The two roles are pretty much similar, with the exclusion of him being in a rock band rather than an idol group this time. I personally liked Kim Jae Wook's acting in "Mary Stayed Out All Night" and that was the main and only reason that kept me going with the drama.

Lovely soundtracks but not Jung Il Woo's role as Lee Tae Yoon. I would rather see him acting as Seo Dong Chan.

Review: You're Beautiful or more commonly known as Go Mi Nam (the lead female character) or A.N.JELL (the band's name), is one of my most favorite Korean drama of all time. Big love to all the soundtracks and members of A.N.JELL, especially Kang Shin Woo (Jung Yong Hwa from C.N. Blue). Jeremy (Lee Hong Ki from F.T.Island) was cute too!!! Though the ending was not something that I hoped for, but I really had fun watching them. It's undeniably a wonderful drama that you couldn't afford to miss out!
